First Time User OKTA SSO Setup Guide

How to set up Frontline Users on their first day with OKTA SSO

  1. Navigate to the URL www.bvslsso.com
  2. Your username will be your <Employee ID>@bvsl.net (I.E. 123456@bvsl.net)
  3. Your initial password will be Brightview_<CommunityCode>
    1. See below for an example of a correct login
       

4. Click Sign in
5. You’ll be prompted to change your initial password based on various requirements

6. If you receive the following error message, your password did not meet the minimum requirements and you must repeat step 5, otherwise continue to step 7.

7. You’ll be prompted to setup a security question that will be asked for as a second form of authentication in addition to your password. Click on Set up

8. You will have the option to choose a security question OR create my own security question. After completing both fields select Verify

9. You now will have to setup an optional factor of authentication. Select Set up under the Phone option.

10. You will have the option to setup your phone through either SMS or a Voice call. Select your method and select Receive a code via…

a. SMS (preferred method) – This method will send you a 6 digit text message code that you’ll need to input
b. Voice Call – This method will send you a voice call to receive your 6 digit code that you’ll need to input

11. Enter the code you receive via text message or phone call and select Verify.
 

12. You’ll be taken to your dashboard where you can access of the apps that you are assigned including Relias, UKG, Novatime, etc.
